Two Suspects Arrested for Beheading 10-Year-Old in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has made a significant arrest in connection with a gruesome crime in Jada Local Government Area.

Officers from the Jada Divisional Police Headquarters apprehended two suspects for the murder of a 10-year-old boy.

According to a statement released on Sunday by police spokesperson CSP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects, Ibrahim Abdul Malik (27) and Aliyu Abdul Malik (18), both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, were taken into custody following investigations into the tragic incident.

“The duo were alleged to have killed and beheaded a 10-year-old Almajiri, identified as Abdalla Lawali, of Anguwar Dubai, Jada.

“The victim was reported missing on March 7, 2025. Since then, a search has been ongoing to trace the missing child.”

He added, “Upon receiving information on the suspects’ involvement. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, deployed security to the scene, where the decomposed body of the deceased was recovered in a sack bag.

“The search warrant was further executed at the suspects’ residence where the head was buried in a shallow grave within the house premises.”

During questioning, the suspects reportedly admitted to the crime, expressing regret and attributing their actions to external influences.

Condemning the brutality of the act, the Commissioner of Police ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough inquiry and prosecution.

The police assured the public that justice would be served and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious activities to law enforcement authorities.
