Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed the controversy surrounding her ex-husband’s absence from their daughter’s wedding.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, she clarified that her ex-husband, Ademidu Ojo, had been granted all the rights and entitlements due to him concerning their daughter, Priscilla Ojo’s marriage.
NaijaReporter confirms that Priscilla tied the knot with her partner, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, in an Islamic wedding ceremony held in Tanzania last Friday.
Iyabo Ojo stated that the Ojo family had privately given their blessing for their daughter’s marriage to the Tanzanian musician.
She wrote, “The Ojo family has received and accepted all necessary rights and has given full permission privately for their daughter’s hand in marriage. What you’ll witness now is the fulfilment of all duties and the celebration of love! We’ll be serving a full-course meal, complete with dessert and extras – because we do things our own special way! Sit back, relax, and enjoy this beautiful and memorable journey with us!”
According to reports, amid allegations of excluding her father from her wedding preparations—particularly since he has not been part of her upbringing since separating from her mother—Priscilla shared a screenshot of a video call with him on Sunday evening via her Snapchat story.
